Today, Tuesday, the governorate of Beni Suef, in southern Egypt, witnessed a horrific collision caused by a waterspout, which resulted in the death and injury of 17 people.

The authorities received a report of a collision between two passenger buses and a truck on the eastern desert road in Beni Suef, which resulted in the death of a driver and the injury of 16 others.

In turn, the authorities sent ambulances to transport the victims and the injured, while investigations indicated that the lack of vision due to the water cloud was behind the accident.

The rescue forces quickly removed the traces of the accident, recovered the cars, and restored traffic to normal, while notifying the Public Prosecution Office, which undertook the investigation.

Cold weather

It is noteworthy that Egypt is exposed to a wave of cold weather, as the Meteorological Authority announced that the country will be exposed today, Tuesday, to very cold weather in the early morning hours.

The meteorologists expected that the country will witness today heavy water clouds on some roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, the Canal cities, central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.
