Today, Monday, the Kuwaiti government submitted its resignation to the political leadership, in the wake of the recent crisis with the National Assembly and the blockage of the horizon of the relationship between the legislative and executive authorities.
The Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Qabas, said that the government submitted its resignation, pointing out that the government’s resignation today comes while it adhered to its position regarding the recent political crisis, as it refused to make any pledges to the representatives regarding popular laws.

Al-Qabas newspaper had previously quoted informed sources that the government would submit its resignation to the political leadership on the grounds of its refusal to make any pledges to parliament regarding populist laws, in addition to the National Assembly’s failure to respond to its demand to withdraw the two interpellations directed at Finance Minister Abdul Wahhab Al-Rashid and Minister of State.
