The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle a quantity of Captagon pills amounting to 2,972,400 pills, which were found hidden in a consignment coming to the Kingdom through the port.
The authority stated that a consignment was received to the Kingdom through the port of King Abdulaziz Port, which consisted of “wooden planks”.
The authority stated that after completing the seizure process, coordination took place with the General Directorate for Narcotics Control to ensure the arrest of the recipients of the seizures, and the two persons, who numbered two, were arrested.-
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority confirmed that it is continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports, and is standing in the way of smuggling attempts, in order to achieve the security of society and protect it from these pests.--
At the same time, the authority called on everyone to contribute to the fight against smuggling to protect society and the national economy, by contacting it on the number designated for security reports “1910” or via e-mail.[email protected]”, or the international number “00966114208417”.
Through these channels, the authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the provisions of the unified customs system in complete confidentiality, with a financial reward being granted to the informant in the event that the information in the report is correct.
