A 28-year-old Palestinian man was killed in a work accident in Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv, in the center of the country, Thursday morning.
And medical sources reported that the worker was killed when a heavy part of the concrete fell on him on the third floor of the building in which he was working, which resulted in serious head injuries. Resuscitation to save his life, but to no avail, and he was forced to admit his death from his critical injury.
The police opened a file to investigate the circumstances of the accident, in addition to informing the office of the Ministry of Economy (Industry, Trade and Employment) as appropriate.
The available data indicates that 5 workers, including today’s victim, have met their fate in work accidents in the country until today.
For comparison, 73 workers died in various work accidents in the country, in the past year 2022.--
In the year 2021, the number of work victims in industry, commerce, services, agriculture and construction reached 66, more than half of whom are Arab construction workers.-
65 workers, including 47 from the occupied West Bank, died in work accidents in construction workshops in the country during the year 2020, and in 2019 47 workers died, in addition to 39 workers in 2018.
It should be noted that work accidents have increased in recent years, causing the deaths of hundreds of workers in workshops, the vast majority of whom are Palestinians from both sides of the Green Line, and foreign workers, in light of the negligence of the authorities and even trade unions to these accidents and their causes, especially the lack of means Safety and actual monitoring of the application of general safety conditions for workers.
