Muscat: Reiterating its commitment to contribute to shaping a promising future for renewable energy, PDO affirmed its continued endeavors towards preserving the environment and natural resources through its initiatives in the field of sustainability. This commitment was evident in its participation in hosting Oman Sustainability Week, to be held from 12 to 16 March 2023 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. This event is hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals and organized by Petroleum Development Oman for the second year in a row.

Commenting on this participation, Engineer Abdul Amir bin Abdul Hussein Al-Ajmi, Executive Director of Foreign Affairs and Added Value at PDO, said: “In light of the adoption of the concept of sustainability at various business levels globally, the company was able to accelerate its pace of keeping pace with these changes and work diligently to achieve The development goals set by Oman Vision 2040 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Strategy 2030 alike, renewing its commitment to providing promising social investment programs and initiatives that benefit the local community as a whole.

In addition to being a meeting place for industry leaders, Oman Sustainability Week also showcases the most prominent emerging sustainability technologies and innovative solutions that serve this purpose.
