On Wednesday, the swimming and karate competitions concluded in the first phase of the 18th Sports Games for the Armed Forces, which hosted the King Faisal Air Base in Tabuk.
The Air Force team achieved first place in the general ranking of swimming competitions, while the Air Defense Forces team won second place, and the Land Forces team won third place.
Major General Staff Pilot Ibrahim bin Faleh Al-Sultan, Commander of King Faisal Air Base in the Northern Sector, crowned the winners of the gold, silver and bronze medals and the prizes assigned to them, in addition to honoring the tournament referees.
In the karate competitions, the Air Force team also won the first place, the Ground Forces won the second place, and the Air Defense Forces won the third place.
Major General Fahd bin Saad Al-Qahiz, Commander of the Imam Faisal bin Turki First Brigade, honored the winners with the prizes allocated to them, thanking them for their distinguished bids during the tournament.
In addition, the competitions of the 18th Sports Games for the Armed Forces will continue in their first phase in shooting games, volleyball, and football (halls), and will continue until February 4.
It is noteworthy that the course, in which more than three thousand athletes representing the Land Forces, the Air Force, the Navy, the Air Defense Forces, the Strategic Missile Force, and the General Administration of Services, participate, aims to meet the athletes in the midst of honest competition, highlighting many physical competencies, and developing and refining skills. Individual and collective, giving the opportunity to athletes to participate in tournaments and sports competitions at various internal and external levels, and it will take place in three stages, the first stage in the northwestern region (Tabuk) and its competitions are currently being played at King Faisal Air Base, and the second stage in the eastern region (Dhahran), and the second stage The third is in the northern region (Hafar Al-Batin), and it includes group and individual games, which are: archery, swimming, karate, volleyball, football, football, cross-country, basketball, handball, athletics, table tennis, Taekwondo, judo, and weightlifting.
