Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s visit to Delhi, posting a video clip of him on his social networking site “Twitter”, commenting: I am pleased to welcome President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and hold talks with him to enhance cooperation between India and Egypt.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived at the government guest house, “Hyderabad Palace” in New Delhi, to hold talks at the summit level with “Narendra Modi,” the Indian Prime Minister.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi had visited the mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi and laid a wreath on his grave, and recorded a word in the guest book when visiting Gandhi’s mausoleum in New Delhi.-
In his speech, the President said: “I am pleased to express my sincere pride in visiting the tomb of the late Indian leader, Mahatma Gandhi, who constituted a milestone in human history by embodying the principles and values of justice, peace, equality and non-violence, as well as his courageous patriotic stances and unconditional bias towards the option of peaceful resistance.”-
President El-Sisi added, “The whole world needs to be inspired by these lofty principles that contributed to the unity and renaissance of the Indian nation, and which we believe and adhere to in Egypt throughout different eras and times. Egypt and India have common cultural and historical ties, and are similar in their firm commitment to spreading security, peace and stability.” and support efforts for development, prosperity and urbanization.
