Gold prices fell today in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday morning, January 25, 2023, with gold falling globally from near the nine-month peak it reached in the last session.

The price of a gram of 24 carat gold today in Saudi Arabia was 233.38 riyals, compared to 234.08 riyals yesterday, while the price of a gram of 21 carat, the most traded in the Kingdom, decreased at 204.21 riyals, compared to 204.83 riyals yesterday.

While the price of a gram of 18 carat gold today in Saudi Arabia reached 175.04 riyals, compared to 175.56 riyals yesterday.

The economic gold price today in Saudi Arabia

As for the economic price of gold today in Saudi Arabia, 14 karat of it reached about 136.14 riyals, compared to 136.55 riyals yesterday, and as for 12 karat, it recorded about 116.69 riyals, compared to 117.04 riyals yesterday.

The price of an ounce of gold today in Saudi Arabia was about 7,285 riyals, while the price of a gold pound today in Saudi Arabia, “8 grams of 21 carat,” was about 1634 riyals.

Gold fell today, Wednesday, continuing its decline from a level close to a nine-month peak, which it reached in the last session, as some investors sought to speculate in a way that guarantees them profit, and the dollar stabilized ahead of the release of US economic data that may determine the Federal Reserve’s path in monetary tightening.

The spot gold price fell 0.6% to $1926.79 an ounce, after hitting its highest level since late April 2022 yesterday, Tuesday, and US gold futures fell 0.4% to $1928.40.

In terms of other precious metals, silver fell 0.6% to $23.53 an ounce, and platinum fell 0.3% to $1054.25. Palladium fell 0.8% to $1,728.43.
