Death mourns Mai Farouk – Where the artist, Mai Farouk, an Egyptian singer, announced, on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 AD, the death of her father after a struggle with illness.

And she wrote during the period of his illness, “This is my father, this is the one from whom I inherited every need, even the sweetness of his voice. This remained the goodness of the world and the morals of the world. People’s love for him. I do not know how to explain him. He has a need, except for me to be under his feet, he is in a difficult condition.”

Singer Mai Farouk apologized for performing a concert that was scheduled to be held on Friday, January 20, at Al-Majaz Theater in the Emirates, due to her father’s sudden illness.

Mai came out in a “live broadcast” clip, through her official account on the “Instagram” website, in which she said: “Good evening to everyone who took his time and traveled for my concert, which was supposed to take place on Friday, January 20 at Al Majaz Theatre.”

And she added: “I apologize to you very much for not participating in the ceremony because I was subjected to very coercive circumstances. My father suddenly became tired while he was in a critical condition, against me, not of my own will. I had to apologize for the ceremony, and my luck is a monster that I will not be able to meet you.”

And Mai continued: “All I wish is that you pray for my father to recover, and I wish you from my heart successful concerts that you enjoy, and God willing, after our Lord grants my father recovery with your prayers, I will have the luck to meet you, God willing, thank you.”

May Farouk’s artistic beginning was early. She started singing at the age of 8 in the Selim Sahab Choir at the Opera. Her father and mother discovered her talent and helped her develop it.

Mai said in an interview with the journalist Amr El-Leithy during the May 13, 2013 episode of the 90 Minutes program that she prepared herself for singing and chose the path she was raised on, which is the opera, and she became acquainted and famous through it, and she said that she considers “Umm Kulthum” the best because she is the most difficult and she tends to challenge and courage, and she said It was raised on the voice of Muhammad Abdel Wahhab.
