The Akhbar Al-Youm electronic portal provides its followers with a live broadcast of the Egyptian handball match with its counterpart Sweden in the quarter-finals of the World Handball Championship, which is held in Poland and Sweden, with the participation of 32 teams, during the period from January 11 to January 29.
The match is scheduled to take place at exactly nine thirty in the evening, Wednesday, in the “Stockholm” hall, which can accommodate 15,000 fans, and will be broadcast on Ontime Sports.
The organizing committee of the tournament announced that the swabs of Egypt and Sweden were negative.
The last confrontation between Egypt and Sweden was at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, which ended with Egypt winning 27-22.
-Egypt qualified for the quarter-finals after finishing second in the group standings after losing to Denmark 30/25 yesterday, Monday. It also beat Belgium 28/33 and Bahrain 26/22, respectively.
--The Handball World Cup kicked off on Wednesday, January 11, and its competitions will continue until the 29th of the same month.
The Egyptian national team was in the main role in Group D, next to the United States, Croatia, Denmark, Bahrain and Belgium.
The Egyptian handball team was able to achieve the full score in the first group stage by defeating Croatia, Morocco and the United States of America, and qualifying as the group leaders.
