Kuwait – Mubasher: Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Ahmed Al-Saadoun adjourned the complementary session today, Wednesday; For the absence of the government, according to a statement.

Ahmed Al-Saadoun said: “Despite the completion of the quorum, the Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs and the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development informed me yesterday that the government would not attend, so the session will be adjourned according to the internal regulations to the 7th and 8th of next February.”

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Ahmed Nawaf Al-Sabah submitted yesterday, Tuesday, the government’s letter of resignation to Crown Prince Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the Speaker of the National Assembly also postponed yesterday’s session until today because the government was not present.

The council was scheduled to consider the agenda of the questioning of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment directed by Representative Mubarak Al-Hajraf, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs directed by Representative Janan Bushehri.

The session’s agenda included the report of the committee preparing a draft response to the Amiri speech regarding the proposed formula for the first regular session of the seventeenth legislative term.

The second deliberation of a draft law on the establishment of companies included the establishment of cities or residential areas and their economic development, and 7 reports from the Financial Affairs Committee.


The reports relate to the establishment of the Agricultural Crops Marketing Company, the amendment of the insurance law, the recovery of interests obtained illegally from banks, the purchase of loans owed by citizens and dropping their interest, the Chamber of Commerce Syndicate, and the conversion of the Airlines Corporation into a joint stock company.


The table contained 3 reports from the Internal Affairs and Defense Committee, regarding amending the National Assembly elections law with regard to the High Commission and the law redefining electoral districts with regard to proportional lists, and the two reports of the Legislative Committee regarding amending the internal regulations of the National Assembly regarding public voting on the positions of the parliament’s office and canceling the committee. priorities.
