News 24 | King Salman Relief inaugurates a water project in Yemen.. and distributes aid in 3 countries

Yesterday (Sunday), the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center inaugurated a clean water supply project in the camps for the displaced in the Marib district in Yemen, benefiting 28,000 people, in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, as part of projects to enhance access to safe and sustainable water solutions.

The Undersecretary of Marib Governorate, Dr. Abd Rabbo Moftah, stressed the importance of this project in providing clean water for the displaced in the targeted camps to alleviate their suffering, appreciating the role of the humanitarian center in assisting the displaced and the host community in several areas through the implementation of its sustainable projects.

On the other hand, last Sunday, the center delivered 9 respirators to Omdurman Teaching Hospitals, Al Shaab Al Teaching Hospital, Soba University, and Ahmed Qassem in Khartoum State, in addition to installing and operating the devices with the latest medical technologies, to serve all age groups, in addition to training workers in all the mentioned hospitals.

The handover was witnessed by the Sudanese Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, and a team from the center.

Also in Sudan, the center distributed 500 food parcels yesterday in the fourth village in Al-Faw locality in the state of Gedaref in the sisterly Republic of Sudan, benefiting 3,560 people.

In Lebanon, the center concluded a project for distributing school bags to Syrian male and female students in Lebanon during the academic year (2022-2023). During the project, 10,000 school bags were distributed to several schools in Akkar Governorate, northern Lebanon, as part of the process of supporting the educational process. For Syrian refugees and the host community in the Lebanese Republic.

In addition, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued to distribute food baskets to those affected by the floods and the most needy families in Afghanistan for the year 2022-2023 AD, in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Yesterday, 390 food baskets were distributed in Qal’at Fathullah, the headquarters of the Afghan Red Crescent Society in Afghanistan, benefiting 390 families.

This comes within the framework of the efforts of the Kingdom, represented by the Center, to stand with the people in need, to relieve them, as a result of what they are suffering from, or those affected by floods, torrents and natural disasters.
