Ants are a family of social insects that fall under the family Antidae of the order Hymenoptera, the same order that both wasps and bees belong to.
According to a video clip, the ant communicates through very precise antennae, which capture food odors with a capacity 5 times greater than that of other insects.
And there is a specific arrangement for the ants to obtain food, as the video monitored. The so-called “scout ant” directs to explore the places of food, and on its way, it begins to secrete a substance from its stomach called “pheromones”, which are the landmarks of the path towards obtaining food.
Swarms of ants follow
The swarms of ants pick up the smell of this substance, so they follow in a strange system behind them, forming a closely packed line in the road, without any defect or laziness from one of them.
In order to maintain this delicate sense of smell, and the superior ability to capture odors, the antennae must be kept completely clean. The cleanliness of ants is a matter of life and death for them.--

Sensor cleaning mechanism
According to the “Qaf Interactive” channel, researchers at the British University of Cambridge conducted a detailed study, in which they monitored the mechanism of ants cleaning their antennae.
Monitoring showed that the ant uses its leg to permanently clean its antennae, a process that goes through three stages:
It first removes large pieces by relying on the middle of its stem, which resembles a brush, then performs a combing process targeting the medium parts, and finally uses fine bristles on the tip of the leg to clean the small parts.
