The Council of Muslim Elders is participating with a special pavilion in the Cairo International Book Fair 2023, in its 54th session, during the period from January 26 to February 6, with more than 140 publications, including 10 new books, that address the most important intellectual issues and work to correct misconceptions. It combats hate speech, racism and intolerance, and provides possible solutions to confront them, in addition to promoting dialogue between East and West and consolidating coexistence among all human beings.
Among the most prominent publications of the Muslim Council of Elders participating in the Cairo International Book Fair 2023 AD is the book “Love in the Holy Qur’an” by Prince Ghazi Al-Hashemi, a member of the Muslim Council of Elders, and the book “The Imam, the Pope and the Difficult Path… Testimony to the Birth of the Document of Human Fraternity” by its author, Judge Muhammad Abd al-Salam, The Secretary-General of the Council of Muslim Elders, and the book “Fatwa and Its Controls and the Responsibility of the Mufti and the Asker” by Dr. Ahmed Ma’bad Abdul Karim, a member of the Senior Scholars Authority at Al-Azhar, and the book “Methods of Thinking in Doctrine” by Imad Khafaji, and the book “Freedom of Thought in Islam” by Muhammad Al-Sadiq Arjoun, and the book “Islam, the West, and Tolerance: Perceiving Coexistence,” by Aaron Tyler.
The pavilion of the Council of Muslim Elders presents to its visitors at the exhibition 10 books written by His Eminence, the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayyib, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders, highlighting the tolerance of Islam and the richness of its intellectual and philosophical heritage, namely: “The Elements of Islam”, “On the Al-Azhar Approach”, “On the Term”. The Theological and the Sufi”, “Insights into the Thought of Imam Al-Ash’ari”, “Tradition and Renewal.. Discussions and Responses”, “Ahl al-Sunnah wal Jama’ah”, “Hadith on Causes and Purposes”, “Good Sayings”, “Religion is Easy”, “Etiquette and Values”.
Based on the Council’s continuation in performing its civilizational and cultural mission, the Council of Muslim Elders presents a number of new publications, which are published by the Council wing for the first time. Most notably: “The Rules of Understanding and Understanding of Thought and Language,” written by Dr. Mustafa Benhamza, a member of the Islamic Research Academy in Al-Azhar, head of the Scientific Council in Oujda, and a member of the Council of Muslim Elders, and the book “The Sunnah and its Work in Proving Sharia Rulings” by Muhammad Suad Jalal, one of the great scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and the book “Similar Systems Studies in the Stories of the Holy Qur’an: A Comparison and analysis” by Abd al-Ghani Awad al-Rajhi, one of the senior scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and the books “Facilitating Logical Rules Explanation of the Solar Message” and “Lectures on Monotheism, Creed, and Modern Thought” by Muhammad Shams Al-Din Ibrahim, one of the senior scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and the book “Hadith Logic” by : Ali Muhammad Jabr, one of the senior scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.-
Among the recent publications as well, and based on the belief of the Council of Muslim Elders in the importance of translation, as it is a bridge between civilizations in constructive communication, the Council continued its efforts in translating books aimed at promoting peace, so the Council translated many books, on the path of brotherhood and peace; The most prominent of which are: “Religious Tolerance in World Religions,” written by authors Jacob Neusner and Bruce Shelton, and the book “Confronting Islamophobia in Europe,” written by a number of researchers: Ian La, Amina Ezzat Doaa, Arzo Mirali, and S. The pavilion of the Council of Muslim Elders at the Cairo International Book Fair 2023 AD, in its 54th session, is organizing a number of seminars and cultural events that discuss issues of the requirements of societal peace, the responsibilities of global citizenship, and the promotion of human brotherhood and peaceful coexistence among different spectrums of people, in which a number of thinkers, experts and clerics will lecture. .
The participation of the Council of Muslim Elders in the Cairo International Book Fair 2023 stems from the message of the Council, headed by His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders, aimed at promoting peace, consolidating the values of dialogue and tolerance, and building bridges of cooperation between human beings of different races and beliefs.
