The US space agency “NASA” has found the molecular species that form the “building blocks of life” in a deep region of ice clouds, according to Sky News.

A team of astronomers used the James Webb Space Telescope to confirm the presence of methane and ethanol, as well as small compounds containing nitrogen and sulfur.

On Earth, methane sources include emissions from wetlands, oceans, landfills, and livestock farming, while most ethanol comes from fermented starches and sugars.

This material was discovered about 500 light-years from Earth, in a region where temperatures range from minus 270 degrees Celsius to minus 250 degrees Celsius, which had not been observed before.

Next approach 2368

In a related context, “NASA” monitored, the day before yesterday, an unprecedented approach of the moon approaching the Earth, for the first time in 993 years, in a rare phenomenon that is likely to be repeated after 345 years.

--

And due to its proximity to Earth, this is the largest appearance of the moon in the sky since December 3, 1030, when it was 356,568 kilometers, or 221,561 miles from Earth.

-

According to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory information, the next largest moon will be on January 20, 2368.

And the Moon’s orbit through the Earth is far from a perfect circle. In fact, it is elliptical and represents a barely extended circle. Because of its shape, the distance between the Moon and the Earth is constantly changing over the course of a month.
