Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin Dinah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, inaugurated the Middle East Energy and Sustainability Forum, with the participation of a number of dignitaries, CEOs, specialists and those interested in this vital field, to discuss a number of issues related to carbon removal in refining projects using the latest specialized technology. The Minister of Oil and Environment stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation among all countries to ensure continued access to clean, reliable energy at reasonable competitive prices, to achieve progress and growth in all fields, adding that the Kingdom of Bahrain has adopted many initiatives to achieve interim and short-term goals to reduce carbon emissions by 30% by 2035. , by investing in initiatives that enhance energy efficiency, and direct investment in carbon capture technologies to achieve a gradual transition to a more sustainable energy future and reach zero neutrality by 2060.
