The head of the Kuwait Oil Tanker Company Workers Union, Nader Al-Harbi, called on the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation to reconsider the diploma exams or cancel them immediately.

Al-Harbi described, in a press statement, the diploma exams as “incapacitating” and no one can pass them because of their difficulty and unreasonableness, although they have no choice but to work in the oil sector due to their specialties.

Al-Harbi stressed that there is clear selectivity in specializations, as some are opened and some are rejected, describing what is happening as a clear injustice to which oil diploma holders are exposed.

Al-Harbi considered that what is happening is a recurring scenario that we have previously warned of its danger by being strict in exams for diploma holders and even national cadres of engineers who hold the highest degrees from the most prestigious international universities, which is unacceptable by excluding Kuwaitis from appointment in the oil sector due to incapacitating tests.

Al-Harbi asked: For the benefit of whom are the national cadres enslaved from being appointed in the most important sectors of the state and the first source of national income, especially in light of the presence of many vacancies?!!.

Al-Harbi concluded his statements by stressing that the Kuwait Oil Tankers Union, along with the various oil unions and the Petroleum Workers Union, will not stand idly by in front of this clear injustice to the people of Kuwait. To work, produce and maintain our first national source of income.
