Deliveroo Qatar reveals its most prominent achievements in the first 100 days of its launch

Deliveroo has had a successful launch in Qatar, continuing to provide added value to its three-pronged market of consumers, restaurants and drivers. During the launch period, the food delivery service has partnered with over 1,000 international and local restaurants and hired hundreds of drivers who report high levels of job satisfaction (8.3 out of 10) and has implemented two environmental sustainability programmes.
To achieve its goal of offering customers a wide variety of dining options and unique experiences, Deliveroo has partnered with more than 1,000 restaurants in Qatar, including local and international chains such as Evergreen Organics, McDonald’s, Tim Hortons, and Pat Sucre, Subway, Nando’s, and Shake Shack, to name a few. As a result, customers who used Deliveroo rated the platform 4.4 out of 5, as measured by the customer satisfaction scale, as an expression of their happiness with the level of service and the wide range of restaurant options.-
Deliveroo has recruited hundreds of drivers to start its operations and was the first app to provide them with fully equipped bikes equipped with LED light boxes that are perfectly installed on the bikes to ensure their safety and comfort on the road, while keeping food in good condition. The drivers are equipped with highly breathable uniforms made of 100% polyester with UV blocking and moisture wicking capabilities designed for hot weather conditions. In addition, the drivers were provided with safety kits that included helmets, padded shields and safety gloves. These factors have helped ensure fast and reliable delivery while preserving drivers’ health and improving their well-being: a recent driver satisfaction survey indicated that Deliveroo drivers continue to express high levels of satisfaction, with an overall satisfaction score of 8.3, in line with global standards. .--
In terms of sustainability, and in line with Qatar’s sustainability strategy aimed at reducing the consumption of single-use plastics, Deliveroo launched two initiatives in its first 100 days. Its first initiative was to distribute reusable water bottles to drivers to reduce the consumption of plastic water bottles. Deliveroo has also launched a cutlery cancellation feature in the app with the aim of reducing the use of single-use plastic cutlery.
