“My husband pursued me with malicious accusations, continued to abuse me, and refused all amicable solutions to resolve the differences between us, to demand that after 50 days of marriage, I separate from him, under the pretext of his inability to bear the responsibility and being forced by his family to marry me, and when I asked him to return my rights, he refused and left me hanging.” Words came from one of the wives before the Family Court in Heliopolis, accusing her husband of expelling her from her home, and trying to force her to give up her rights.

And the wife added in her lawsuit before the family court: “My husband separated from me and suspended me and left me exposed to embarrassing questions from my friends and relatives about the reason for leaving the house after only 50 days of marriage, and he refused to resolve the differences after the mediation of my family, so that his mother told me that he used to leave the girls he engaged to them, And that he agreed to complete his marriage to me and insisted on his marriage, while my husband told me that he was forced to marry me because of the financial and social compatibility between us.”

And she continued: “I asked him to return my jewelry and movables, but he refused to enable me of my rights, and when I went to court, he threatened and shamed me, and caused me material and moral damage according to the testimony of witnesses and official documents that I submitted, after he abandoned me, to be exposed to the biggest shock in my life, after he defamed my reputation.”

According to the Personal Status Law, the issuance of the ruling of disobedience puts the wife in a position of violating the law and making a mistake against her husband, which forfeits her right to alimony during the waiting period and pleasure, and the husband has the right to recover what he has paid of dowry and belongings if they are separated by a judicial ruling, as it proves that the fault is entirely on the part of the wife.
