A Saudi sports critic said that the Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, could be a “curse” on Al-Nasr Football Club.
The sports critic, Abdul Karim Al-Jasser, explained during his participation in the “Al-Mustaf” sports program on Al-Ikhbariya channel that Ronaldo “may be a curse, in the sense that Cristiano’s presence in victory can motivate other teams to do their best.”
He added, “This is something that makes the mission of the Nasraoui team difficult, and the upcoming matches will not be easy, because any team that plays against Cristiano will try to do its best to win and avoid a big loss.”
On the other hand, the Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, commented on his first official match with the Saudi club Al-Nasr, expressing his admiration for the team.
After the match ended with the victory over Al-Ettifaq Club, on Sunday, Ronaldo said, “The first match, the first victory – well done, guys.”-
In a post on Twitter on Monday, which included photos from the match, he thanked “all the fans for the amazing support”.--
The Portuguese star was unable to score the net in his first official match in Saudi Arabia with his club Al-Nasr, which won with a single goal over Al-Ettifaq, in the 14th round of the league, on Sunday.
Ronaldo, 37, participated mainly from the start of the match, but his attempts did not result in goals in the match that many were waiting for.
Brazilian Anderson Talisca scored the only goal of the match in the 31st minute of the first half.
The stands of the “Marsoul Park” stadium crowded with fans and enjoyed the touches of Ronaldo, who wore the armband in his first match, especially dribbling in his own way to the star of the agreement, Saeed Al-Mawlid, but his shot after that did not result in a goal.
