The Saudi Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom’s position calling for spreading the values of dialogue, tolerance and coexistence, and rejecting the causes of hatred and extremism.
The Council’s assurances came during a session held in Irqah Palace in Riyadh, yesterday (Tuesday), chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, where the Council of Ministers was briefed on the content of the two letters that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince received from the Gambian and Chadian presidents.
The Council reviewed the entirety of the state’s work on the political and economic levels during the past days, especially aimed at strengthening international cooperation in various fields, and finding more innovative and joint solutions to face global challenges, noting what was included in Saudi Arabia’s participation in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum held in the city of Swiss Davos.
After the session, Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, Acting Minister of Information, explained to the Saudi Press Agency that the council praised the outcomes of the thirteenth meeting of the Saudi-Swiss Joint Economic Committee, held in Zurich, and the signing of memorandums of understanding to expand the scope of cooperation between the two countries and benefit from the benefits. The Council took a number of measures and decisions. The Council decided to approve the amendments adopted by the International Maritime Organization Assembly to the International Maritime Organization agreement concluded in Geneva in 1948, and to approve Saudi Arabia’s accession to the memorandum of agreement of the Regional Organization for Air Safety Oversight for the Middle East and North Africa, and to delegate the Minister of Education to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Corporation for Technical Training And the vocational, or his representative, to discuss with the Austrian side a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of technical and vocational training between the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation in Saudi Arabia and the Federal Ministry of Labor and Economy in Austria.
The Council also decided to suspend the work of the automated system for listing housing ownership, and to extend the work of items “Second” and “Third” of Cabinet Resolution No. 515 dated 8/14/1441 AH, regarding the exemption of small establishments with a total of 9 workers or less, including their owner. , from paying the financial consideration for a period of 3 years, for a period of one year from the date of the expiry of the period referred to.
