The second edition of the book “Annie Arno.. Coffers Are No Longer Empty” by the poet Israa El-Nimr, which she prepared in cooperation with a group of translators, was recently released, coinciding with the Cairo International Book Fair 2023, in its 54th session.

The book “Annie Arnault… Coffers Are No Longer Empty” celebrates the Lady of French Literature after winning the Nobel Prize in Literature for the year 2022. It was prepared and presented by the writer and poet Israa El-Nimr, and a group of Egyptian translators participated in it, including Islam Ramadan, Rahil Bali, Rufaida Gamal. Thabet, Lamis Saidi, Magdy Abdel-Maguid Khater, Mohamed Abdel-Samie, Mohamed Mohamed Othman, Nisreen Shukry, and Yousra Omar Al-Farouq.

According to the Swedish Academy, the French lady of literature, Annie Ernault, won the 2022 Nobel Prize for Literature “for her courage and ingenuity with which she exposed the roots of alienation and the collective limitations of personal memory.”

French writer Annie Ernault was born in 1940 and grew up in the small town of Yvitote in Normandy, to a middle-income family, but she was ambitious. This was evident in the later writings of Annie Erno, in which she focused on the strong differences with regard to gender, language and class, ignoring what is going on in the world of politics as some writers do or are preoccupied with.
