Specialists called for the need to treat the water that collects as a result of rain, and to intensify mist spraying to combat the mosquitoes that cause dengue fever.
They confirmed that dengue fever has two clinical forms, the first is simple, and it is mostly, as it resembles a viral cold to a large extent in its beginnings, then the fever intensifies until it reaches 40 degrees Celsius, and in some cases causes convulsions or convulsions in children, and is often associated with headaches, while the second is The hemorrhagic form is a dangerous and fatal disease, caused by the same dengue viruses, but it does not occur in the first infection with the virus, but rather in second infections with the same virus, or after a new infection with a dengue virus other than the first. In the beginning, Dr. Mona Al-Mahmoud, a consultant hematologist, explained that dengue viruses are transmitted to humans through the bite of a mosquito of the genus Aedes, which carries these viruses. Mosquitoes usually acquire the virus when they suck the blood of an infected person, and after the incubation period, which lasts 8 to 10 days, has passed. Days, the virus will be able to bite people, suck their blood, and transmit the virus.

She added: Dengue fever is a severe flu-like disease that affects infants, young children and adults, but it rarely leads to death, and the clinical features of dengue fever vary according to the age of the patient. Often, circulatory failure in severe cases, and the disease often begins with a sudden rise in body temperature accompanied by symptoms similar to those of the flu.
She said that ending or reducing the problem of dengue begins by addressing all aspects of pollution that helps provide a suitable environment for mosquitoes, pointing out that swamps and stagnant water attract mosquitoes, especially the spoiled mosquito (Aedes aegypti), which is remarkably present in the water.

For his part, pediatric consultant Dr. Nasr El-Din El-Sharif said: Dengue fever has two clinical forms: the first is simple, and it is mostly, as it resembles a viral cold to a large extent in its beginnings, then the fever intensifies until it reaches 40 degrees Celsius, and in some cases causes convulsions or convulsions in children, It is often associated with headaches, especially in the forehead area or behind the eye sockets, then other symptoms appear later, such as: back pain, joints, and muscles, loss of appetite, loss of taste, nausea, vomiting, general laziness, and skin rashes. Of dengue fever, it is the hemorrhagic form and it is a dangerous and fatal disease, and it is caused by the same dengue viruses, except that it does not occur in the first infection of the virus, but rather in second infections of the same virus, or after a new infection of a dengue virus other than the first, so it is important to define the strain Virus and its genotype.

He continued: The environment is greatly affected by rainfall, as stagnant water, ponds and swamps are formed, all of which are factors that attract mosquitoes and many insects, and here it is necessary to continue the ground spraying process within the neighborhoods and the air in the swamps, and to intensify awareness programs, especially since the wave of weather fluctuations plays a role in revitalizing mosquito cycle.
Regarding treatment, Dr. Al-Sharif says: Symptoms are treated through medications prescribed by the doctor in addition to antiviral drugs. As for antibiotics, they are left to the needs of each patient, according to the treating physician’s estimates.
