The members of the Security Council urged all parties to “de-escalate the situation in Yemen and engage constructively with the United Nations Special Envoy in order to return to comprehensive political talks.”
But the Arab coalition accused the group of hijacking the ship while it was on a naval mission from the Yemeni island of Socotra to the port of Jizan in southern Saudi Arabia.
The coalition said that the ship carries ambulances, medical equipment, and equipment for operating the Saudi field hospital on the island, after the end of its mission and the establishment of a hospital on the island.
