OnePlus 9RT launched in India: 5 things you should know

OnePlus launched its OnePlus 9RT in India on Friday. The OnePlus 9RT was launched as an advanced version of the OnePlus 9R which was launched along with the OnePlus 9 series last year. The device offers some hardware upgrades over the OnePlus 9R. The OnePlus phone debuted in China last year and will soon go on sale in India. Here are five things you should know about the OnePlus 9RT before purchasing the device.

OnePlus 9RT price in India

The OnePlus 9RT is available in two storage options: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. The device is available in two color options: Nano Silver and Hacker Black. OnePlus 9RT price and storage options are as follows:

OnePlus 9RT sale date in India

The OnePlus 9RT will be available for purchase on Sunday, January 16, via the company’s official website at 12 noon as part of the Red Cable First sale. In addition, users will get six months of free Spotify premium and discounts on OnePlus Band and OnePlus Bullet Wireless Z earbuds. The device will go on sale via Amazon on January 17 with an additional bank discount of Rs 4,000 along with Jio benefits of Rs 7,200.

The OnePlus 9RT was the first OnePlus device to run ColorOS 12 running Android 12 out of the box in China. However, in India, the phone was launched with Android 11, which is a disappointment for fans who are anticipating the latest Android 12 release out of the box.

Upgrades via OnePlus 9R

OnePlus 9RT is the successor to OnePlus 9R. It comes with upgraded hardware and a slightly different design. The OnePlus 9RT is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC, which is more powerful than the Snapdragon 870 SoC found in the OnePlus 9R. The latest OnePlus 9RT features a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that’s slightly larger compared to the 6.55-inch screen of the OnePlus 9R.

The OnePlus 9RT comes with a triple camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS and EIS support, a 16MP wide angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP selfie camera. OnePlus 9RT full specifications

The OnePlus 9RT features a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with an Adreno 660 GPU. The device comes with 12GB of RAM and a 256GB storage option. It has a 4600mAh battery with Warp Charge 65T 65W fast charging support.

As for the cameras, the OnePlus 9RT features a triple camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS and EIS support, a 16MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. It has a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The 9RT runs Android 11 Oxygen 12OS out of the box.

Additionally, the device comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, 4D Intelligent Drive, VC cooling system, wake latch, and Tri-eSport Wi-Fi antennas with adaptive switching. Connectivity options include 5G support, Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX HD, LDAC, AAC, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C, NFC, and GPS.
