A gram of 24 karat gold in Saudi Arabia reached 219.33 riyals ($58.45) in morning trading today, Saturday.

And the gram of 21 karat gold (the most traded in the market) in Saudi Arabia, at the beginning of Saturday’s trading, fell to 191.92 riyals ($ 51.14).

And the price of a gram of 18 karat gold in Saudi Arabia fell this morning, Saturday, to 164.50 riyals ($ 43.84).

In terms of economic gold transactions in Saudi Arabia, today, Saturday, the price of a gram of 14 karat gold decreased to 127.94 riyals ($ 34.09).

The price of an ounce and a pound of gold in Saudi Arabia

The price of an ounce of gold in Saudi Arabia fell, during early trading today, Saturday, to 6821 riyals (1817 dollars).

While the price of the gold pound, at the beginning of trading today, Saturday in Saudi Arabia, reached about 1535 riyals ($ 409.14).

Gold prices today globally

Gold prices declined at the end of trading week (Friday), due to the rise in the dollar and US Treasury bond yields, but the yellow metal achieved weekly gains.

The performance of the yellow metal comes despite noticeable losses for US stocks during trading, with the release of economic data and the start of the business results season.

Gold prices came under pressure with expectations of a more-than-expected rate hike by the US Federal Reserve.

The price of gold futures contracts – February delivery – decreased by 0.3%, to reach the level of $ 1816.50 an ounce. The yellow metal prices gained about 1.1% during the week ending today.

The price of spot delivery of the yellow metal decreased by 0.4%, to record 1815.23 dollars an ounce.

At the same time, the price of silver futures contracts – for March delivery – fell by 1%, recording $22.93 an ounce.

The spot platinum price also decreased by 0.4%, recording $969.95 an ounce, while the spot palladium price decreased by 0.5%, to record $1881.61 an ounce.

Meanwhile, the dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against 6 major currencies, rose by 0.4% to 95.401 points.
