Social networking sites in Jordan and Palestine witnessed a wave of anger due to the movie “Princess”. Chosen by Jordan in order to represent the Kingdom in the Oscars, to compete in the International Feature Film category for the year (2022). According to what was previously announced by the Royal Film Commission of Jordan.

Activists, on the micro-blogging site “Twitter”, launched a hashtag entitled: “#Withdraw_Princess_Film”, in which they poured out their anger on the actors and those responsible for approving such an abusive act of Palestinian prisoners and their children.

This anger and rejection stemmed from the fact that the film deals with a sensitive issue, which is “smuggling of sperm from the prisons of the occupation.”
