The Saudi Equestrian Federation announced that Riyadh will host the first edition of the Saudi Jumping Championship at the Horse Racing Club in Janadriyah, one of the most important stations in the Arab championships, with the participation of the world’s most prominent jockeys, during the period from 9-18 January, which qualifies for the 2022 World Cup Show Jumping in Germany.

His Highness valued the support of the federation’s partners, which contributed to enhancing the opportunities for the spread of equestrian sports and organizing major events, praising in this regard the support of Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Equestrian Authority and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Unlimited Horse Racing Club for all equestrian sports, especially show jumping, pointing to Equestrian sports and show jumping in particular occupy a special space in the hearts of the masses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and are linked to many achievements; Therefore, our permanent work does not depend on its development, marketing and related events industry.
Prince Abdullah bin Fahd stressed that the equestrian sport has been experiencing great growth in the past three years in terms of the number of championships and practitioners, as the number of jumping championships increased from 28 in 2018 to 47 in 2021, while the Kingdom hosted 10 international championships this year compared to One championship in 2018, which contributed to a significant increase in the number of jockeys and horse owners during this period, expressing his happiness at the announcement of the launch of the Equestrian Sports Events Company owned by the Saudi Equestrian Federation, through which it seeks to expand steps towards organizing and manufacturing the largest international events, and the company will organize Saudi Jump Championships and work with international partners in this field. The company will contribute to achieving the goals of “Vision 2030” by enabling the private sector to contribute to supporting equestrian sports, creating new job opportunities, enhancing opportunities to increase sports practitioners in the Kingdom, establishing global standards for hosting tournaments, transferring global expertise to the local market, and creating opportunities An investment for the private sector, pointing to the announcement soon of a cooperation between the Equestrian Sports Events Company and “global champions”, explaining that the Saudi Jump Championship will receive wide international media coverage, as its competitions will be broadcast through global channels, in addition to digital platforms and in different languages, reaching audiences The sport of jumping in various countries of the world.
