Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, a leader in the Houthi group “Ansar Allah” in Yemen, attacked Saudi Arabia, saying that its peace initiatives are “exploratory and their demands are unrealistic.”
Al-Houthi said in a tweet on “Twitter”: “Our peace initiative that was presented was for the people and not as a result of exploratory dialogues with the Kingdom, which rose between the rubble of impotence at times and unrealistic demands at other times.”
He added: “What was presented in Marib or for the sake of the country is the result of a sense of the importance of stopping the aggression, lifting the siege, taking into account the interests of the republic and knowing that the war in Yemen is devastating for Saudi Arabia.
Our peace initiative presented
It was for the people
And not as a result of the exploratory dialogues with the kingdom, which swept between the rubble of impotence at times, and other unrealistic demands
What was presented in Marib or for the sake of the country results from a feeling of the importance of stopping the aggression, lifting the siege and taking into account the interests of the Republic
