Many people avoid eating ghee, believing that it will make them gain weight, but in fact, it has many health benefits. It is a rich source of protein, healthy fats, and vitamins A, E and K. The white variety is made from buffalo milk, and the yellow is from cow’s milk.
Here are the benefits of each type, as well as which one is best, according to timesofindia.
– white ghee
While it contains less fat compared to yellow, it can be preserved for a long time due to its fat content, helps in maintaining bones, gaining weight and promoting cardiovascular muscle activity, and provides essential elements such as magnesium, calcium and phosphorous.
– beef ghee
Beef ghee is beneficial for weight loss, it helps reduce obesity in adults and children, and it is easy to digest.
It contains A2 protein, which is missing in buffalo milk, A2 protein is only available in cow ghee, and cow ghee contains an infinite amount of protein, minerals, calcium and vitamins.
Cow ghee helps the heart to function well, reduces the deadly cholesterol levels in the blood and improves the proper cholesterol level in the blood.
Which is better?
Both types of ghee are beneficial for physical and mental health and have the same amount of fat. Cow ghee is preferred over buffalo ghee, as it is considered better because it contains vitamin A-carotene, which is good for eye and brain function, as well as beneficial for digestion and has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and antioxidant properties.
Buffalo ghee contains more fat and calories than cow ghee, and it helps treat cold, cough and phlegm problems, maintains joints and has anti-aging effects.
