Mohamed Salah succeeded in obtaining the “Golden Foot” award for the year 2021, after outperforming 9 other players.
Mohamed Salah competed with Lionel Messi, Neymar, Sergio Ramos, Gerard Pique, Sergio Aguero, Karim Benzema, Romelu Lukaku, Robert Lewandowski, and Giorgio Chiellini.
The award is an international award for players under the age of 28 who have distinguished themselves for their sporting achievements, both individually and as a team.
Mohamed Salah, accompanied by his wife Maggie, went to France to attend the ceremony on Monday evening, and Maggie was seen receiving the award.

For his part, Mohamed Salah said in statements published by the famous journalist Gianluca Di Marzio on the sidelines of the ceremony: “It is great to win this award, especially because so many football legends have won it.”
He added: “Coming to Serie A has helped me a lot because when I was at Chelsea I had to change the type of football and my culture, I felt I needed to change my way of playing and Italy helped me. They were amazing and always made me feel their love.”
And about surpassing the record of Ivorian legend Didier Drogba, Mohamed Salah said: “It was a motive because he is a legend, we know each other, and he is a friend of mine, that was another motive for me to beat his record and I did so.”
When asked if he would like to win the Premier League this season or the Champions League, Salah replied: “I hope we can win both.”
