To improve the quality of the health system.. Move to El Obeid


The Minister of Public Health, Firas Al-Abyad, during his visit to France, signed the “Technical Support Program for the Development of the Quality of the Lebanese Health System”, which is funded by the French state through the French Development Agency (AFD), with a grant of one million and 200 thousand euros, and that the Higher Institute of Business (ESA) will undertake Implementation of the two-year program in coordination between the Ministry of Public Health and three French national health agencies.The signing ceremony was attended by Dominique Le Guludec, President of the High Authority of Health in France, President of the French Blood Foundation François Toujas, and Director General of the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Medical Supplies Christelle Ratignier-Carbonneil.

The support program allows to “complete the Lebanese-French cooperation that began in 2006 with the aim of identifying the foundations for the continuous development of the health system in Lebanon, and accordingly work will be done to update the classification and accreditation system for public and private hospital institutions with the High Authority for Health in France HAS, blood preservation and transfusion. With the French Blood Foundation (EFS), in addition to maintaining the safety of medicine and medical supplies, in coordination with the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Supplies ANSM.

Al-Abyad stressed, “The importance of this cooperation, which reflects France’s serious commitment to supporting the programs of the Ministry of Public Health, so that the partner French agencies will be alongside Lebanon in improving, organizing and developing its health system and benefiting from the successful French experience in this field.”
