Saudi Arabia condemns and denounces the Israeli president's storming of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron

Saudi Arabia has expressed its condemnation and denunciation of Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog’s storming of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, “The government condemns and denounces the blatant violation of the sanctity of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, in a hostile and provocative move for the feelings of Muslims around the world.”

She added that the government “calls upon the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop the continuing practices of the occupying government and its officials towards Islamic sanctities (in Palestine), and warns of the dangerous repercussions of these practices.”
