On the first foreign tour of a member of the British royal family since the Corona pandemic, Prince Charles, the Crown Prince of Britain, visits Egypt with his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
The last visit of Prince Charles to Egypt was about 15 years ago.
The two-day visit began on Thursday. On their arrival at Cairo Airport on a private plane, Prince Charles and his wife were greeted by Egyptian Tourism Minister Khaled El-Anany and officials from the British Embassy in Cairo.
Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla toured the Al-Azhar Mosque, in the old Fatimid Cairo, accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Mosque.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his wife received the British Crown Prince and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, at the presidential palace.
