Real Madrid continued to move away from the top of the Spanish league standings, after achieving a fatal victory over its guest, Seville.

Faith real Madrid against Seville, 2-1, during the match that brought them together at the Santiago Bernabéu, in the 15th round of the competition La Liga.

Seville opened the scoring in the 12th minute through Rafael Mir Vicente, after turning a cross with his head into the net of Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

While Seville was looking for the second goal, French Karim Benzema scored the equalizer for Real Madrid in the 32nd minute.

The French striker took advantage of a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, which bounced off Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, to populate the empty net.

While the match was approaching the finish line, Brazilian Vinicius Junior scored the fatal winning goal, in the 87th minute of the match.

The Brazilian player dribbled the ball from the side of the field, before he fired a missile that landed in the net of the Moroccan goalkeeper, who was unable to win it.

Thus, Real Madrid achieves the fourth victory in a row this season, to top the table of the Spanish League with 33 points, while Seville’s balance stopped at 28 points in fourth place.

On the other hand, neighbors Atlético Madrid succeeded in seizing the second place in the La Liga standings, after they achieved a big victory over Cadiz, 4-1.

Atletico Madrid

Thomas Lemar, Antoine Griezmann, Angel Correa and Mateus Konia scored in Atletico Madrid’s first victory with 4 goals or more this season in all competitions.

Cadiz scored his only goal late in the second half, after a shocking error from Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, to keep the team without victories at home this season.

Atletico have 29 points from 14 games, with a goal difference ahead of former leaders Real Sociedad, who fell to third place after suffering their first league loss in more than 3 months against Espanyol 0-1.
