Today, the pavilion of the General Civil Aviation Authority concluded its participation in the activities of the Dubai Airshow 2021, which was held from 14-18 November in Dubai.
During the five days, the pavilion witnessed the visit of a number of their Excellencies, dignitaries and CEOs of Saudi companies participating in the exhibition, as well as those interested, investors and specialists in the world and the aviation industry in the world.
The authority’s pavilion introduced the civil aviation sector strategy in the Kingdom, the authority’s modern and future projects in building, developing and modernizing airports in the Kingdom and its most prominent investments, in addition to the developments that the civil aviation sector has reached in the Kingdom.
During the dialogue sessions held on the sidelines of the exhibition, the authority presented a number of working papers in the field of civil aviation sustainability and a session on air cargo needs, in addition to participating in a session on reducing demand and capacity variables in operations, a session on turbulence and crisis management in the aviation industry, and a session on updating training regulations for the new world .
The participation of the Saudi civil aviation system in the exhibition was effective, as the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation marketed the training courses and programs it offers, and the Airports Holding Company reviewed the achievements of the Kingdom’s airports and its latest current projects, and presented promising future investment opportunities for the aviation sector in the Kingdom to the international aviation community, and to benefit from the experiences Globalism; To enhance the passenger experience, the Saudi Air Navigation Services Company presented modern technologies, digital towers, and awards achieved in the Middle East. The Executive Company presented investment opportunities, development projects and the creation of strategic partnerships, while the Riyadh Airports Company, Dammam Airports Company and Jeddah Airports Company presented investment opportunities, and opportunities The expected growth, the establishment of strategic partnerships, and the work of flynas to strengthen its presence as a leading national carrier in the region, and to highlight the latest products and services.
The participation witnessed the signing of a set of agreements with the most important manufacturers of aircraft components, as Saudi Arabian Airlines concluded 9 agreements with major air transport companies, and flyadeal signed an agreement with General Electric Aviation, which confirms the move towards the localization of the aviation and air transport industry, And maximizing the manufacturing capacity and local content in the Kingdom. Riyadh Airports Company also signed a memorandum of understanding with Honeywell to explore opportunities for using integrated technology and automation solutions at King Khalid International Airport, while the Executive Company signed a cooperation agreement with Al Arabia.
It is noteworthy that the General Authority of Civil Aviation, through its participation in the Dubai Airshow 2021, aimed to highlight the role of the civil aviation sector in the Kingdom as an important driver in the national economy, and the promising investment opportunities offered by the sector, especially after the launch of the civil aviation sector strategy emanating from the national strategy. For transport and logistics services, which came to promote and develop the aviation sector; To achieve the best results and achievements locally, regionally and internationally, and to be the first leading sector in the Middle East, in addition to enabling the national strategy for tourism, strengthening the aviation sector, and upgrading the connectivity network by increasing the number of international destinations and developing infrastructure and operational processes in the Kingdom’s airports.
