Edge Browser Brings a Classic Game to Users When They’re “Offline”

Microsoft Edge offers a mini-game to users when the browser can’t connect to the Internet. Last year, the company announced a surfing game, inspired by the Windows classic SkiFree, that challenges players to surf while avoiding islands and other obstacles.

Now the company has added a wintery twist to the game where users now have to ski to avoid fellow skiers, houses and obstacles, and the game is now similar to the original SkiFree game that the company launched in 1991.

The surfer Kraken has also been replaced by a Yeti in the surfing version, and users can play the game with a mouse, keyboard or console, and players can also collect hearts to extend their lives and boost speed.

The game is Microsoft’s attempt to compete with Google’s game of dinosaurs on Chrome when the browser is offline.
