Rabat – The inter-ministerial committee for tracking Covid-19 announced, today, Saturday, that the Moroccan authorities have decided to strengthen the monitoring system for access to the national territory.
In a statement, the committee explained that this decision comes with the aim of preserving the important gains that Morocco has made in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, as well as within the framework of preventive health measures imposed by a context characterized by an increase in cases of infection in the European neighborhood of Morocco.
Thus, in addition to the permissibility of compulsory vaccination and negative PCR tests for persons coming from countries included in List B, upon arrival in Morocco, a double check with thermal cameras and electronic thermometers and antigen testing will be carried out.
The same source indicated that medical teams consisting of several doctors will be deployed in all the Kingdom’s ports and airports.
The communication concluded that any passenger who tested positive upon arrival in Morocco will not be able to enter the national territory, and he will have to return immediately to the country from which he came, with the air or sea carrier bearing all costs, except for people who have permanent residence in Morocco.
