Zidane: Benzema deserves the Ballon d’Or

Veteran Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, the former coach of Real Madrid, nominated his compatriot Karim Benzema to win the Ballon d’Or, awarded by France Football magazine every year to the best player in the world, and expressed his hope that he would succeed him, after Zizou had obtained it in the wake of France’s victory. 1998 World Cup Championship.

Joining Zidane in his endorsement of Benzema’s nomination are veteran coach Arsene Wenger, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and France coach Didier Deschamps, all of whom believe that Benzema deserves this year’s award.
