The Saudi Royal Court announced that King Salman bin Abdulaziz will head the Kingdom’s delegation to the G20 Leaders Summit, which will be held in the Italian capital, Rome next week.

A statement issued by the Royal Court stated: “In response to the generous invitation received by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud from the Italian Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, to attend the G20 Leaders Summit to be held in Rome during the period 30-31 October, it was decided For King Salman bin Abdulaziz to head the Kingdom’s delegation in the summit’s work and to participate through video communication.

He continued, “The Kingdom expresses its appreciation for the efforts made by Italy to make the work of the G20 presidency a success this year, through joint collective action, as the Kingdom is a member of the group troika.”

He added, “The Kingdom affirms its keenness to continue the efforts made to make the summit work a success.”
