The price of the dollar against the Egyptian pound stabilized today, Monday, October 18, 2021, in the Central Bank of Egypt and commercial banks.

The average price of the dollar at the Central Bank of Egypt was about 15.66 pounds for purchase, and 15.75 pounds for sale, which are the same prices as yesterday.

At the National Bank of Egypt (the largest governmental bank in Egypt), the price of the dollar stabilized at 15.64 pounds for purchase and 15.74 pounds for sale.

The same price was repeated in Banque Misr (the second largest bank in Egypt).

At the Commercial International Bank (the largest private bank in Egypt), the price of the dollar stabilized at 15.66 pounds for purchase, and 15.76 pounds for sale.

Yesterday, the Central Bank of Egypt revealed that remittances from Egyptians working abroad fell 3% to $2.79 billion in July 2021, compared to $2.88 billion in the same period last year.

Yesterday, the Egyptian Statistics Authority announced that poverty rates in Egypt had decreased for the first time in 20 years.

According to the data, the rates declined to 29.7% in (2019-2020), compared to 32.5% in (2017-2018), a decrease of 2.8%.

This reflects the success of the Egyptian state’s efforts to achieve social justice in conjunction with the economic reforms it has implemented and focused on the social dimension of development.

The International Monetary Fund raised its forecast for the growth of the Egyptian economy during 2021, while lowering its estimates for the growth of the global economy.

In its latest World Economic Outlook, the Fund forecast Egyptian GDP growth in 2021 to 3.3%, compared to a previous forecast of 2.5%.

Euro and British pound rates

The average price of the European euro at the Central Bank of Egypt settled at about 18.16 pounds for purchase and 18.28 pounds for sale.

At the National Bank of Egypt (the largest government bank in Egypt), the price of the euro fell to 18.12 pounds for purchase and 18.28 pounds for sale, compared to 18.12 pounds for purchase and 18.29 pounds for sale, yesterday.

The same price was repeated in Banque Misr (the second largest bank in Egypt).

At the Commercial International Bank (the largest private bank in Egypt), the price of the euro stabilized at 18.14 pounds for purchase and 18.31 pounds for sale.

While the price of the pound sterling at the Central Bank of Egypt jumped to 21.53 pounds for purchase and 21.67 pounds for sale, compared to 21.47 pounds for purchase and 21.61 pounds for sale, yesterday.

The prices of the riyal, dirham and dinar

The average price of the Saudi riyal, at the Central Bank of Egypt, settled at 4.17 pounds for purchase, and 4.20 pounds for sale.

At the National Bank of Egypt (the largest government bank in Egypt), the price of the Saudi riyal settled at 4.18 pounds for purchase, and 4.19 pounds for sale.

The same price was repeated in Banque Misr (the second largest bank in Egypt).

At the Commercial International Bank (the largest private bank in Egypt), the price of the Saudi riyal stabilized at 4.17 pounds for purchase and 4.20 pounds for sale.

The average price of the UAE dirham, in the Central Bank of Egypt, remained stable at 4.26 pounds for purchase, and 4.29 pounds for sale.

While the price of the Kuwaiti dinar in the Central Bank of Egypt varied, recording 51.89 pounds for purchase and 52.23 pounds for sale, compared to 51.82 pounds for purchase and 52.28 pounds for sale, yesterday.
