Ahmed Diab, head of the Professional Clubs Association, said that all the league matches are on schedule without delay, including the summit meeting between Al-Ahly and Zamalek.

Ahmed Diab added, during television statements: “Today, we announced the dates of 8 weeks only, and we will announce the dates for the remaining matches of the Premier League after Egypt’s participation in the African Nations Cup.”

He continued: “Zamalek has designated the Cairo and Air Defense stadiums to host its matches, and the Al-Ahly and Zamalek match will be held at Cairo Stadium, and what was announced to be held in the Air Defense is a typographical error.”

And he added, “It was agreed with the clubs to enter the competition in its normal form despite the difficult circumstances, and we will work to make the season a success and its exit in a distinctive way. The football players have nothing to do with holding the elections. We did not exclude any stadium because of the television broadcast.”

He concluded: “All matches will be held in the presence of the fans in the agreed upon numbers, and the ticket price will be determined during the coming period.”

The Association of Clubs announced that the summit match between Zamalek and Al-Ahly will be held in the third week of the General League, next November 5, at Cairo Stadium at eight in the evening.

The Association of Clubs has put a clause in the new season’s regulation that prevents manipulation of the results of the matches of the new league, which begins on October 25.

The regulation included that any club proven to be involved in manipulating the results of the league matches, in order to achieve its interest, the Board of Directors of the Association of Clubs shall impose the appropriate penalty on it, which may reach the point of removing its name from the League’s competitions with the possibility of depriving any club official who proves his involvement in the deprivation for a temporary period or Lifelong practice of any sporting activity.

On the other hand, the Association of Clubs headed by Ahmed Diab set a number of conditions for fans to attend the matches of the new league, the most important of which is obtaining a vaccination against the Corona virus.

Ahmed Diab recently announced that the fans will attend the matches of the new league, specifically 2,000 fans in each match, with 1,000 fans per team on both sides of the match.
