“Salah is the best in the world”… An Algerian star denies statements attributed to him


Today, Tuesday, retired Algerian star Rabah Madjer denied the validity of statements attributed to him, published by an Egyptian newspaper, in which he was quoted as saying that the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, is currently the best player in the world, and that he is now superior to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Madjer, who previously led Porto players to the European Champions League title in its old name in 1987, said in a statement to the Algerian newspaper “Al-Shorouk News”, “The statement issued in the Egyptian newspaper has no basis in truth.”

The star of the Algerian national team, who participated in the 1982 and 1986 World Cups, added, “My great respect for Salah, but I did not say that he is the best now, and I have not declared to any media for a while.”

On Sunday, the Egyptian “Al-Watan Sport” website published statements attributed to the former Algerian international entitled “Rabah Madjer for Al-Watan Sport”, Salah is the best player in the world and surpasses Messi and Ronaldo.

According to the site, Majer said that “at that moment, Mohamed Salah is considered better than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, thanks to his consistency during this season, and his brilliance, which makes him the best player in the world at the present time.”

He also claimed that Mager said, “Everyone must now admit that the best player in the world has become an Egyptian, thanks to what Mohamed Salah makes and scores in goals, in addition to his terrifying and frightening numbers, and his excellent performance, and he also has the ability to bring out the best of his colleagues’ capabilities.
