Who is an opponent of King Abdulaziz's arms dealer for one of his most loyal men.. Who is Rashid bin Laila?A television report published a brief biography of Rashid bin Laila, one of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman’s men, who turned from an opponent of the king to one of his most important and most loyal men who had a role in establishing this country.

The report, according to the “Saudi” channel, indicated that Rashid bin Nasser bin Laila is a witness to King Abdulaziz’s policy of reforming men, and his ability to attract opponents.

Rashid was born in Hail in 1294 AH and learned early in books and memorization of the Qur’an at a young age, and he had features of acumen, intelligence and strength of memory.

When King Abdulaziz succeeded in annexing Hail to his rule in 1340 AH, he pardoned his enemies, including Rashid bin Laila, and an order was issued in 1359 AH to hold the membership of the Shura Council, which was one of his most prominent decisions to name the kingdom by its current name.

In the year 1350 AH, an order was issued to establish a commission for the government of King Abdulaziz in Baghdad, and bin Laila was appointed general consul and chargé d’affaires of the commission.

His presence in Syria and the French forces cutting off the lines of communication led to the emergence of rumors that his role there was anti-Syrian, but then he was a contributor to the meeting of the Syrian Defense Committee for Palestine with the King; Where he helped Palestinians express their rights against the Zionist occupation.

Bin Laila focused on communicating with newspapers and the media with the aim of informing the world about the role of King Abdulaziz by virtue of his experience, his acumen and his handling of previous issues, and because of his proximity to scholars, he had a contribution to the printing and publishing of books, and he died in 1362 AH after a busy life during which he worked for the advancement of the nation.
