The Maraya Art Center of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority “Shurooq”, which supports emerging artists and designers in the region, will host the solo exhibition of the artist Hazem Harb, entitled “Temporary Museum of Palestine”.

Yesterday, the opening ceremony was attended by Sheikha Latifa bint Maktoum, founder and director of “Tashkeel”, and CEO of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, Sheikha Nawar Al Qasimi, director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, and a number of artists and those interested in art.

The exhibition, which will continue until next February, reflects the attempts of the artist residing in Dubai to embody the relationship between man and place, within a socio-cultural approach that focuses on the concept of the homeland Palestine, through old maps, pictures and family paintings, displayed inside glass bottles and tanks.

The artist invites the viewer to think about Palestine, and hopes to establish a permanent museum to display his collections.
