Haaland demands a higher salary than Ronaldo

Europe’s top clubs continue to monitor the situation of Norwegian Erling Halland, the German star of Borussia Dortmund, and are competing to win the talented striker.Clubs interested in Haaland will reportedly have to pay £575,000 a week to secure Haaland’s signature, and if he gets his wish, he will earn more than Cristiano Ronaldo a week.

Ronaldo earns around £480,000 a week at Manchester United, despite his status as one of the best players in the world.

The Borussia Dortmund striker, 21, has been a discovery since arriving in Germany in January 2020.

The Norwegian scored 49 goals in 49 Bundesliga appearances, and Dortmund managed to keep him last summer, but it appears he is likely to leave at the end of the season when the £64m buy-out clause in his contract is triggered.

Haaland scored 13 goals in all competitions, including 9 goals in six matches in the German League, bringing his total goals for the club to 70 in 69 matches.

Now ESPN says any team that wins the race will need to pay Haaland more than £30m a year.
