The Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, during its participation in GITEX Technology 2021, revealed the latest developed new applications represented in the smart map of the Emirate of Fujairah, which represents a main database for the Corporation, and helps to manage the geographical data of the Emirate technically and technically.
The smart map will serve the institution in the continuous supervision and follow-up of the workflow in the mining facilities in their various locations, and the map is periodically fed with the latest data, to embody the true nature of the emirate, as it provides students, researchers and adventurers the opportunity to learn about the important natural points of the emirate such as valleys, dams and mountains and to know the location of mining facilities and areas Eco-tourism.
On the mechanism of operating the smart map, the Director General of Natural Resources, Engineer Ali Qassem, stated that spatial data is collected by devices specialized in surveying operations such as GPS devices and drones, and converted using developed programs that help to enter data and operate it in an integrated manner on the smart map.
Ali Qassem reviewed the features of the smart Roya platform, saying: “This smart visual tool is among its comprehensive efforts to improve the speed of decision-making response in a timely manner. And rapid analysis of the current operations in real time, and they have been developed according to the requirements of the operational business of the institution, which contributes to raising the efficiency of operations, promoting innovation and making more effective decisions based on data analysis through one smart screen.”
He pointed out that the Foundation participated in the presentation of a third service at GITEX 2021 for the first time, provided by the Foundation through its platform, the experience of a virtual visit to explore the Innovation Lab, which comes in line with the rapid technological changes in anticipation of the future and in preparation for the fifty, where the virtual experience provides an opportunity to learn about the corners of the laboratory, which attracted interest Noting since its launch, it has achieved more than 92 visits, being the first laboratory in the emirate that includes the latest specialized and innovative technologies and includes technical solutions that highlight the development of work mechanisms and building a knowledge-based economy. The virtual visit takes place via a 360 live broadcast, and technical support around the clock.
