Emirates News Agency – Abdullah bin Zayed and President of Guyana witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries at Expo 2020

DUBAI, 22nd October / WAM/ H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and President Mohamed Irfan Ali, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on technical cooperation between the two countries.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed – at the headquarters of Expo 2020 Dubai – by Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and His Excellency Ashni Singh, Minister of Finance of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the President of the Republic of Guyana and the accompanying delegation, stressing the keenness to strengthen bilateral relations between the UAE and Guyana and to develop joint cooperation in many fields.

During the meeting, His Highness conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and their best wishes for progress and prosperity to the Republic of Guyana.

For his part, the President of Guyana, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, conveyed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him.” His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, wishes the UAE further progress and prosperity.
