The Qasr al-Nil Misdemeanor Court sentenced Mohamed Waziri, director of Lebanese actress Haifa Wehbe’s business, to 3 years in prison and fined him 50,000 pounds, after convicting him of “betrayal of trust”.
The accused attended to hear the verdict, which is the second verdict issued against him after a previous verdict of five years issued by the Zayed Court, bringing the total sentences against him to 8 years.
The Sheikh Zayed Misdemeanor Court had sentenced Waziri to 5 years in prison on charges of squandering and fraud, with a total of 63 million Egyptian pounds.
After the family court in Qasr al-Nil rejected the case to prove the accused’s marriage to the Lebanese artist, the latter’s defense said that he was in the process of filing a defamation lawsuit and compensation for harming his client’s reputation.
Earlier, the Public Prosecution referred the accused to the criminal trial, imprisoned, after receiving investigations by the security services, which confirmed the accusations attributed to Waziri.
