Cryptocurrency prices jumped today, Saturday, October 2, 2021, after US support succeeded in stopping the bleeding of losses due to the Chinese restrictions.

The testimony of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell before the US Congress on Friday reinforced the gains of Bitcoin (the world’s most famous digital currency) and its sisters, when he denied the central bank’s intention to ban cryptocurrencies, with China recently issuing a similar decision.

“Do you intend to ban or restrict the use of cryptocurrencies as we see in China?” Powell, nicknamed “the economic fox,” answered a question by a senator during his testimony before Congress. He said, “There is no intention to ban it.”

The market value of the cryptocurrency market rose, at the beginning of Saturday’s trading, by 8.20%, to reach the level of $2.09 trillion, and the trading volume on cryptocurrencies in the last 24 hours jumped by 46.75%, and recorded a value of 117.46 billion dollars.
